Overview Programs The Center will design and manage the K-ASEAN framework program (FP) that aims to promote cooperative R&D projects. Within the program, individual countries suggest demands for cooperation agenda, match cross-cutting R&D themes, and connect researchers and institutions of excellence. It will promote joint research in prioritized areas and exchange of researchers between ROK and ASEAN. It necessarily involves an on-line database for data collection, knowledge sharing, and demand matches. The data collection shall be conducted with prior consultation with ASEAN.

ASEAN-ROK Joint Research Cooperation (Strategy team)

(K-ASEAN FP) mid/long-term/systematic management of demand for ROK-ASEAN partnership and building sustainable operation system. Joint fund for promoting science, technology and innovation cooperation between ROK and ASEAN, similar to EU framework program.

ASEAN STI Information Collection and DB System (K-ASEAN FP Team)

This program is based on the information of demand sources/partners currently cooperating with AKSTCC, a partner information DB sorted by technical fields will be offered to reinforce the local bridging function.
Science, Technology and Innovation cooperation will be sorted by country and registered on the platform (by government, field, technology, etc). A network that link research institutes, universities and associations in the target country build.

Development Cooperation Program Implementation (Strategy Team)

In connection with APASTI 2025 implementation plan, AKSTCC reflect the demand-based cooperation program, such as demand surveys, planning, implementation, evaluation, etc. This program supports the cooperation hierarchy of the ROK-ASEAN Ministerial Meeting on Science and Technology and ASEAN+3 Ministerial Meeting on Science and Technology, etc.
