Overview Programs
The Center will support ROK’s S&T experiences to be shared with ASEAN countries, especially on policy capacity building, research infrastructure establishment, and exchange of post-doc researchers. These activities are expected to contribute to empowering the human resources and national S&T capacities of ASEAN countries.
Sharing of Policy-HR training-Capacity Building Model (Strategy Team)
- KIST/KAIST Model The critical institutional model of Korea’s science, technology and innovation development.
- Regional Innovation Cluster Model Suggest especially the demand for the composition of an innovation cluster at the ASEAN level.
- Korea science, technology and innovation policy experience to develop policy that suits each ASEAN country.
Contribute to ASEAN STI Regulation Improvement (K-ASEAN FP Team)
A practical implementation of AMS demand effectively and efficiently.
- Mediating and promoting linkage of international science and technology cooperation businesses
- Bridging by implementing phased multilateral business such as multilateral science and technology diplomacy, supporting overseas outposts, ASEAN joint research promotion, etc. ROK-ASEAN Joint Committee on Science and Technology, ASEAN R&D Network, and the exclusive organization ROK – ASEAN Science and Technical Cooperation Center.
Enhancing the mobility of scientists and researchers (Strategy Team)
- Expanding science, technology and innovation policy capacity to promote the expansion of interchanges
- Expansion of science, technology and innovation policy capacity is mandatory for the self-development of sustainable science, technology and innovation
Supporting innovation capacity reinforcement (K-ASEAN FP Team)
- As a base for ASEAN science and technology cooperation, utilizing core governance and strategic cooperation system to promote market expansion to the ASEAN region
- Reinforcing network of a consultative group of businesses, public organizations, associations that expanded to Indonesia
