Jakarta-BRIN Public Relations. BRIN in collaboration with the Korea Institute of Science and Technology (KIST) held a kick off meeting. The Head of the Research Center for Sustainable Production Systems and Life Cycle Assessment of the National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN) said that the kick off meeting is expected to symbolize the start of the implementation of the construction of smart greenhouse infrastructure grants and smart farming technology.

“This development is an official development assistance (ODA) from the Korean government, through the Korea Institute of Science and Technology-Gangneung Institute of Natural Product (KIST-Gangneung) to Indonesia through BRIN,” he explained at the meeting at the BJ Habibie Building, Monday (16/12).

The building, which will stand on an area of 2000 m2, is planned to be implemented in 2025 at the location that has been surveyed, and mutually agreed since May 2024, namely at Soekarno Science and Technology Area (KST), Cibinong.

“This cooperation is expected to support the development of smart agricultural technology and strengthen collaboration between Indonesia and South Korea in the field of research and innovation,” Nugroho said.
