The purpose of the ASEAN-ROK S&T Cooperation Center is to facilitate mutual understanding of the demands of both ASEAN and ROK on S&T, with the goal of further developing those understandings into practical collaborations.

The ASEAN-ROK Science and Technology Cooperation Center (AKSTCC) was established to facilitate mutual understanding of the demands of both the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) and the Republic of Korea (ROK) on Science and Technology (S&T), with the goal of further development to practical collaborations.

ASEAN- ROK Science and Technology Cooperation Center (AKSTCC) will foster a dialogue and promote partnerships in a wide range of activities to expand R&D investment opportunities with key counterparts such as ASEAN Secretariat (ASEC), AMS national S&T authorities, official development partners and assistance organizations, public sector and local community, universities, research institutes, non-governmental organizations and foundations, civil society organizations (CSOs), local and international media, youth scientist.
