The National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN) has established a strategic collaboration with the Korea Atomic Energy Research Institute (KAERI) and the Regional Cooperative Agreement, Regional Office (RCARO) to develop radioisotope and cyclotron technology. This collaboration is expected to accelerate Indonesia's independence in the production of radiopharmaceuticals and support the development of the national nuclear medicine ecosystem.
The Head of the Nuclear Research Organization (ORTN) of BRIN, Syaiful Bakhri, emphasized that the collaboration between BRIN and KAERI can strengthen research cooperation between the two countries, particularly in the field of radioisotope and radiopharmaceutical applications.
"Through this visit, we hope that collaboration with RCARO and the institutions under it, including KAERI, can strengthen the nuclear energy program in Indonesia, especially in the field of accelerator-based radioisotope and radiopharmaceutical applications," said Syaiful during the reception of a delegation from KAERI and RCARO in the expert mission program, at Building 720 KST.
