South Tangerang – BRIN Public Relations. Indonesia’s National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN), through its Research Center for Sustainable Industrial and Manufacturing Systems (PRSIMB), has officially partnered with the Korea Institute of Science and Technology to develop large-scale production of high-value natural products in Indonesia using smart farming systems.
The collaboration focuses on studying how native Indonesian plants absorb nutrients under tropical conditions, with the aim of supporting more efficient and sustainable industrial-scale production.
Nugroho Adi Sasongko, Head of PRSIMB at Badan Riset dan Inovasi Nasional, said that this partnership marks the second phase of an ongoing collaboration. By adopting smart farming technologies developed by KIST, Indonesia is expected to better optimize its local biological resources into high-value natural products.
