On the 9th, the Ministry of Science and ICT (MSIT) announced it held a meeting with physics and biology academic societies to explain and discuss construction-type research and development (R&D) projects following the abolition of the preliminary feasibility study (Yeta) system. In February of this year, the government amended the 'Framework Act on Science and Technology' and the 'National Finance Act' to abolish the Yeta system and introduce a customized preliminary review system tailored to the characteristics of different R&D types. For construction-type R&D, which includes large research facilities, research complexes, buildings, and spacecraft, a new review system will be implemented for systematic and phased management throughout the entire project lifecycle.
