Bandung – BRIN Public Relations. Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) is a health examination tool that uses magnetic technology and radio waves to determine the condition of the body in the form of high-resolution images of organs, tissues and the skeletal system. However, the availability of MRI products that are widely used today are MRI products with scale specifications above 1.5 T (read: Tesla) which are considered expensive and use a Helium (He) gas cooling system which may only be available in big cities.

For this reason, the National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN) through the Electronics and Informatics Research Organization (OREI) is exploring cooperation in developing a relatively affordable 0.6T MRI with ISOL Technology Inc.  from the Republic of Korea through its representative in Indonesia, PT. Wavetrack Indonesian System. The exploration of this collaboration was carried out in a hybrid manner via Zoom and at BRIN KST Samaun Samadikun on Thursday (27/06).
