Indonesia’s national innovation system must remain adaptive in responding to the era of hyper-transformation, which is marked by global changes driven by techno-politics, the Fourth Industrial Revolution, digital transformation, and the green transition. This was conveyed by Jeong Hyop Lee while serving as a Visiting Professor during the “Lecture on Science, Technology and Innovation” held at the Sarwono Prawirohardjo Science and Technology Area, BRIN, Jakarta, on Tuesday (December 9).
Jeong delivered a presentation titled “System Diagnosis and Solution Articulation in the Hyper-Transformative Era.” He outlined several strategic lessons for Indonesia, including the adoption of Problem-Driven Iterative Adaptation (PDIA), stronger coordination between industry–government–universities, and the use of data-based AI.
“Public–Private Partnership (PPP) consortia play an essential role in strengthening the technology ecosystem and accelerating the utilization of research outcomes,” he said.
