Tangerang, Banten (ANTARA) - PT Pertamina (Persero) together with Korea National Oil Corporation (KNOC) and ExxonMobil are working together to develop cross-border Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) between Indonesia and South Korea.
“The cooperation with KNOC and ExxonMobil is proof of Pertamina's seriousness to accelerate the energy transition and carbon reduction program in Indonesia by collaborating with international partners,” said Pertamina CEO Nicke Widyawati in a statement received in Tangerang, Banten, Thursday.
The goal, said Nicke, is to develop carbon storage in Indonesia, to utilize the potential of carbon storage in the Southeast Asia region.
