South Korea has affirmed its commitment to supporting Cambodia’s environmental initiatives, particularly in achieving carbon neutrality by 2050, through long-term cooperation and investment in green projects.
Following the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Ministry of Environment, the Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI), and South Korean company VERYWORDS, South Korean Ambassador to Cambodia Park Jung-Wook highlighted his country’s commitment to advancing e-mobility solutions and broader environmental protection efforts.
“This is a cooperation project between two governments. The umbrella framework was made through the cooperation between two countries, the Cambodia government and the South Korean government based on the peace agreement, Article 6.2,” Ambassador Park said. “The Korean government continue to support and we look forward to the point where we can operate this project and achieve all of our shared purpose to protect environment and also contribute to the development of the economy in Cambodia.
