Seoul – BRIN Public Relations. Indonesia, through the National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN), conducted a scientific visit to the Korea Institute of Radiological and Medical Sciences (KIRAMS) in Seoul, Republic of Korea, from Monday to Friday (15–19 December). This activity is part of an international cooperation program in the fields of nuclear medicine and radiation protection, aimed at strengthening research capacity and improving the quality of nuclear technology–based healthcare services in Indonesia.
The scientific visit forms part of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Technical Cooperation project INS9030, entitled “Strengthening Radiation Safety Aspects Related to the Improvement of the Production and Utilization of Radiopharmaceuticals,” under the 2024–2025 TC cycle.
“This program is designed to strengthen radiation protection in the production and utilization of accelerator-based radiopharmaceuticals, while also supporting the development of professional capacity in nuclear medicine,” said Nur Rahmah Hidayati, Associate Researcher at the BRIN Research Center for Nuclear Safety Technology, Metrology, and Quality (PRTKMMN), who also serves as the National Project Coordinator (NPC) for IAEA TC INS9030.
