BRIN Strengthens Health Research through Collaboration with Three Korean Institutions

Cibinong, 21 August 2025 – Indonesia’s National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN), through its Research Organization for Health, has deepened its partnership with Korea by signing three Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with Bio Korea Co., Ltd., Hankyong National University (HKNU), and the Korea Research Institute of Standards and Science (KRISS).

The signing ceremony took place at the Kawasan Sains dan Teknologi (KST) Soekarno, BRIN Cibinong, and was attended by representatives from BRIN and the three Korean institutions. The ASEAN-Korea Science & Technology Cooperation Center (AKSTCC) also joined the event, highlighting its role as a hub that connects and facilitates collaboration between Indonesia, Korea, and the wider ASEAN region.

These agreements open a new chapter in cooperation in biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, and medical sciences. The partnerships will focus on joint research, academic exchanges, and support for innovative businesses in areas such as pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, medical devices, and biotechnology.
