Bandung – BRIN Public Relations. High Performance Computing (HPC) infrastructure with large-scale capacity provides opportunities for ASEAN researchers to carry out computational work that requires substantial computing resources. However, the shared use of facilities by users from different countries requires a governance framework that ensures transparent and measurable access, resource allocation, and proposal evaluation.

The National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN), together with the Korea Institute of Science and Technology Information (KISTI), is preparing such a mechanism for the use of the ASEAN–Korea HPC Facility in Indonesia. The governance framework is being strengthened through the development of usage policies, proposal submission and review mechanisms, and a service platform that integrates all of these processes.
