Indonesia Selected as Site for ASEAN–Korea HPC Facility

Jakarta – BRIN Public Relations. The National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN), in collaboration with the Government of the Republic of Korea, officially launched the ASEAN–Korea High-Performance Computing (HPC) Facility in Indonesia through the Opening Ceremony & Workshop of the ASEAN–Korea HPC Facility in Indonesia, held at the B.J. Habibie Building in Jakarta on Thursday (June 18). The launch marks an important step toward strengthening data-driven research and artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities across Southeast Asia. The initiative is part of the Korea–ASEAN Digital Innovation Flagship Project (KADIF).

BRIN Chairperson Arif Satria stated that the HPC facility in Indonesia will enhance the region's computational capacity needed to support data-driven research, artificial intelligence, and the development of strategic technologies across ASEAN.
