Indonesian children win international coding competition in Korea

Jakarta (ANTARA) - Indonesian children became champions in the Coding World Innovative Technology Challenge 2024 competition, which was held on November 2-3, 2024 at Chonnam National University, Yeosu-si, Korea, by winning two golds, one silver, and three bronzes.

"This team was trained for six months from scratch, namely twice a week for 3-4 hours per day," said Head of the Indonesian Delegation Budi Chang through a statement in Jakarta, Monday.

Budi explained that the Indonesian delegation that won this event had to go through strict assessment criteria, such as program effectiveness, originality (whether assisted by artificial intelligence or not), and also creativity.

Meanwhile, a number of other countries that participated in this event, he said, were the Philippines and Korea.
