ASEAN-KOREA Digital Business Partnership 2025: “AX Innovation Powered by Korea”

The 2025 ASEAN-KOREA Digital Business Partnership, themed “AX Innovation Powered by Korea,” brought together over 30 leading Korean tech companies and ASEAN digital leaders at Jakarta's Fairmont Hotel, on Tuesday June 10, 2025. The event, supported by Korea’s National IT Industry Promotion Agency (NIPA), focused on building tangible partnerships in AI, cybersecurity, digital health, and smart technologies.

“AI is not just a tool, it's a bridge,” said Park Yunkyu, Director General of NIPA, emphasizing Korea’s commitment to co-developing solutions that serve real communities in ASEAN.

Satvinder Singh, ASEAN Deputy Secretary-General, highlighted ASEAN's rising role in the global digital economy: “ASEAN is now a vital engine of global growth,” noting the region’s surge in digital investment and calling for deeper cooperation in infrastructure, AI governance, and talent development.

Throughout the day, business matching sessions, solution showcases, and strategic dialogues addressed regional needs from healthcare technology to cloud platforms and smart city solutions, all designed with affordability and scalability in mind.

As a key business forum, the event enabled Korean enterprises to assess ASEAN market potential, particularly in gaming, advanced manufacturing, and big data applications.
