Jakarta – BRIN Public Relations. The National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN), together with Korea’s Science and Technology Policy Institute (STEPI), formulated seven key recommendations to strengthen Indonesia’s research and innovation ecosystem. The results of this collaboration were presented by BRIN’s Deputy for Research and Innovation Policy, Boediastoeti Ontowirjo, at The 2025 K-Innovation Partnership Program with Indonesia Dissemination Forum, held at the B.J. Habibie Building, Jakarta, on Tuesday (September 9).

Boediastoeti emphasized that the collaboration with STEPI is a strategic step to accelerate Indonesia’s research transformation toward a more inclusive, efficient, and globally competitive ecosystem.

“This partnership gives us valuable lessons from South Korea’s journey, which successfully escaped the middle-income trap through consistent investment in science, technology, and innovation,” she noted.
