ASEAN-ROK Joint Research Cooperation (Strategy team)

(K-ASEAN FP) mid/long-term/systematic management of demand for ROK-ASEAN partnership and building sustainable operation system. Joint fund for promoting science, technology and innovation cooperation between ROK and ASEAN, similar to EU framework program.

The K-ASEAN FP aims for the mid/long-term, systematic management of demand for the ROK-ASEAN partnership, establishing a sustainable operational system. It proposes creating a joint fund to promote science, technology, and innovation cooperation between ROK and ASEAN, similar to the EU framework program. This initiative will facilitate collaborative projects, resource sharing, and knowledge exchange, driving innovation and supporting the development of tailored policies for each ASEAN country.

Background

Preparing joint research integration platform which is demanded by researchers from ASEAN countries and matching partners that can perform in Korea.
- (Matching Platform) Preparing a portal dedicated for expanding international joint research and securing matching performance to promote joint research and development for convergence/complex fields.
  - EU offers information of support programs and information needed for searching partners to conduct joint research on their dedicated webpage (CORDIS).
