South Tangerang, 12 August 2026. Head of the BRIN Research Center for Sustainable Industrial and Manufacturing Systems, Nugroho Adi Sasongko, said that the development of the Smart Greenhouse facility through collaboration between BRIN and KIST is designed to transfer and localize Korean smart farming technology to suit Indonesia’s tropical climate and agricultural conditions.

“This Smart Greenhouse integrates environmental sensors, the Internet of Things (IoT), artificial intelligence (AI), automated fertigation, environmental control, and data-based crop management to improve productivity and product quality, enhance resource efficiency, and promote sustainability,” he said.
