Instead, it should improve people's quality of life through the inclusive, ethical, and sustainable use of technology.This message was delivered by Prof. Junseok Hwang from Seoul National University, Republic of Korea, during the Data Science and Information Exploration Dialogue (DESAIN) #7, organized by the National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN) at the Samaun Samadikun Science and Technology Area (KST) in Bandung on Wednesday (22 July).
In his presentation, Prof. Hwang introduced the concept of digitalogy, a field of study that explores life in the digital era. The concept goes beyond technological advancement, examining its impact on people, society, the economy, education, and public governance. According to him, digital transformation should always place people at its core.
