The primary activities of this Center will consist of functioning as a platform for S&T investment promotion, participating in related sectorial meetings, leading S&T cooperation opportunities seminars, and maintaining contacts as a collaborative gateway across ASEAN member states. In addition to its core activities in ASEAN, the center will contribute to the reinforcement of dialogue and partnerships with an International multilateral organization related to ASEAN in the S&T field.

Malaysia, South Korea team up to train 200 AI and digital professionals

SHAH ALAM, July 13 — The Ministry of Digital today launched the Korea-Asean Digital Academy (KADA), a joint initiative with the Republic of Korea to develop industry-ready artificial intelligence (AI) and digital professionals in Malaysia.

Coordinated by the Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC), the programme will provide specialised training in AI and emerging digital technologies through four cohorts from 2026 to 2027, with a target of producing about 200 industry-ready Malaysian AI and digital professionals.
