Jakarta – BRIN Public Relations. The National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN), together with universities in South Korea, is strengthening marine research collaboration through the use of acoustic monitoring technology to improve understanding of marine ecosystem dynamics. This technology can provide more accurate information on the distribution of marine organisms, the impacts of climate change, and fisheries resource productivity in the Indian Ocean, Korean waters, and Antarctica.
A'an Johan Wahyudi, Head of the Deep-Sea Research Center (PRLD) under BRIN's Earth and Maritime Research Organization (ORKM), emphasized the importance of expanding scientific cooperation between Indonesia and South Korea. He stated that international collaboration not only strengthens marine research capacity but also creates opportunities for innovation and scientific discoveries that can benefit both countries.
