At a glance

The primary activities of this Center will consist of functioning as a platform for S&T investment promotion, participating in related sectorial meetings, leading S&T cooperation opportunities seminars, and maintaining contacts as a collaborative gateway across ASEAN member states. In addition to its core activities in ASEAN, the center will contribute to the reinforcement of dialogue and partnerships with an International multilateral organization related to ASEAN in the S&T field.

AKSTCC's programs aims to promote cooperative R&D projects, identify the multilateral cooperation needs of ROK-ASEAN for sustainable development and develop implementation plans accordingly. The Center will support ROK's S&T experiences to be shared with ASEAN countries.

KKU’s Institute for Research and Development in Teaching Profession for ASEAN Partners with KNUE, South Korea, to Advance Digital-Era Educators and AI Integration through UNESCO UNITWIN

On 10–11 July 2026, the Institute for Research and Development in Teaching Profession for ASEAN (IRDTP) at Khon Kaen University (KKU) partnered with the Korea National University of Education (KNUE), Republic of Korea, to organise the “2026 KNUE-KKU Teacher Training Program for Quality Teacher Education”. Held under the theme “From AI Integration to Educational Impact: Empowering Teachers for Smart Classrooms”, the workshop convened at the IRDTP Building, Khon Kaen University.

At the opening ceremony, Asst. Prof. Pongthanach Sae-joo, Ph.D., Director of the IRDTP, delivered the opening remarks, formally inaugurating the event. Prof. Young-Hoon Kim, Ph.D., Director of the KNUE-UNESCO UNITWIN Programme, then gave a welcoming address highlighting the enduring partnership between Khon Kaen University and KNUE.
