The Korea Intelligent Transport Systems Association (ITS Korea, President Heo Cheong-hoe) announced that it successfully hosted the 2025 ASEAN-Korea Standards Cooperation Network Workshop in the field of Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) from November 3 to 7 at the Koreana Hotel in Jung-gu, Seoul.
The workshop is organized by the National Institute of Technology and Standards under the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, with ITS Korea leading the smart city (ITS) program.
This event was part of the launch of the ASEAN-Korea Standards Cooperation Network (AKSCN) and aimed to enhance cooperation on smart city and ITS standards. A total of 11 public and private experts from nine ASEAN countries participated: Indonesia (National Standardization Agency, ASEAN Secretariat), Thailand (Thai Industrial Standards Institute), Laos (Department of Standards, Ministry of Industry and Commerce), Vietnam (Standards Agency), Myanmar (Department of Standards and Quality under the Ministry of Science and Technology), Cambodia (Standards Institute), Brunei (University), Singapore (Enterprise Singapore under the Ministry of Trade and Industry, Smart Mobility tech company), and the Philippines (Standards Agency).
